Milo had his staples removed on Thursday and his incision is healing nicely. The technician did mention that Milo is not moving his leg as far forward, but seems to be moving it farther back. Usually, with an FHO, it's the opposite - a dog moves the leg forward on his own, and backward takes time. Thinking back to before his FHO, I don't think Milo moved his leg that far forward - he's always been bow-legged.
Overall, his recovery is going as planned. We have an appointment to swim tomorrow at the Animal Swim Center of Northern Virginia. We will be taking both dogs, since the cost is only a little more. Milo hates water, so this will be an adventure. I'm really looking forward to this experience - hopefully my lab mix will learn to like water!

Any news lately. How is Milo doing? We are on our 4th surgery and this is the big FHO. How heavy was Milo? Just curious and willing to be educated. Thanks.
